Pete, an experienced electrical engineer, had relocated back to Exeter having spent 18 months in Somerset. He initially struggled to find a new position which was a good match for his skills and experience, and therefore took a temporary job to cover the bills. 6 months on and Pete was still in the same job, until a chance meeting with Ivor.
Ivor took the time to get to know Pete, and understand what he wanted from his career and the environment he wanted to work in. A number of potential employers were then identified and advised about Pete’s experience and availability. Within 3 weeks, Pete has been on multiple interviews, accepted an offer for his dream job and had started with his new employers as an Electrical Test Engineer.
Summer, had been working as a Membership Sales Agent for a local Gym in Maidenhead but she wanted a new career and something that she could really get her teeth in to. Summer was invited in for registration and Louise called a client to discuss her for a Marketing/Account Management role. Unfortunately, after 2 interviews she was unsuccessful.
Summer took up a temporary position whilst seeking a new permanent position and Louise called her again with an opportunity to work as an Administrator within a new Estate Agent/Lettings business. After 2 interviews she was offered the job and not only has she started but already been involved with the sales and lettings of properties.
A budding new Agent in the making! Well done Summer and we wish you well in your new career!!
A well- known and highly reputable Legal Company in Maidenhead required temporary assistance. They needed an experienced Wills & Probate Legal Secretary to cover an immediately available role whilst waiting for a new permanent starter.
Shirley had extensive experience of working in several legal areas and really enjoyed Wills & Probate. She went into the role to cover. However, the permanent candidate fell through.
Shirley had made a great impact. A permanent position was offered after just two weeks! A very happy client and a very happy candidate. Well done Shirley!
In July of last year, our client had been seeking a content writer to join their successful team in London. Two candidates got to final interview and one was offered. The other candidate had also made an impact but there had only been one role available to fill.
Aaisha was very disappointed not to have received an offer but knew that we would keep in touch and let her know if any further positions became available with the client. Aaisha continued working in her position but we kept in regular contact with her. At the end of August we were informed that there could be an opportunity coming up. In September a telephone interview was arranged for her to speak to a member of the recruitment team about the possibility of a new role. In October she was called for an interview with the Line Manager and at the end of October a further meeting with another Manager.
The job was offered! However a delayed start date with the position available from January. Aisha waited 6 months to start her new career. Patience and persistence paid off! Well done Aaisha!
A really well qualified Diploma Level 4 candidate was made redundant in March 2013 and decided to take some time out to renovate her property. However, returning to the job market some two years later was quite a daunting prospect.
Dawn contacted her to discuss a role with a highly reputable Company based in the North of England. A position for a Technical Services Advisor had become available. After two interviews and a technical competency test Tracey was offered the position.
Tracey is now enjoying being back to work in a fast paced environment and has truly hit the ground running!
A wonderfully well qualified lady called Philomena started temping for Elite Recruitment Solutions in 2015. She had spent a long time based out in Dubai as a PA/Secretary covering a number of specific areas including Legal.
Philomena wanted immediate work and we initially sent her out to carry out holiday cover with some local legal firms. However, she wanted a full time job and to work with a lot of people as she was new to the Country and didn’t know many people. An opportunity came up with a national company based in Maidenhead.
The role offered lots of variety, a very busy and frantic environment and needed someone with a very flexible nature, excellent organisation skills and someone who would commit to a long term temporary assignment. We thought of Philomena. She is now on her 2nd 3 month assignment within the Department and being given extra training in order to be able to take on a more senior role.
The Company are also looking at taking her on permanently. Philomena you have really done us proud! Thanks for all your ongoing hard work and commitment. You are a true asset to the Elite Temporary Team.
